Fix the funnel first. Conversion Rate Optimization is how.

Before you spend another dollar on traffic, fix the funnel. CRO is the cheapest lever you have. A forensic pass on session recordings, heatmaps, and form analytics tells us where visitors are leaking. Then hypothesis-driven A/B tests run to 95% significance, messaging changes first, micro-UX second.

Forensics
Session replays, heatmaps, scroll depth, form analytics, win/loss interviews. We find the leaks before we open a test.
Messaging
Hero copy, offer framing, trust signals. The biggest wins come from what you say, then how you say it.
Testing
Real sample sizes, 95% significance thresholds, documented hypotheses. Winners ship, losers teach.

Why hire us on CRO specifically

Four moves most CRO programs never get to.

Data before opinion.

Every hypothesis starts in the forensic data. Session recordings, heatmaps, form analytics, exit-intent, win and loss call transcripts. We do not test what we guess. We test what the behavior told us to test, and we write down why before the experiment runs.

Messaging over micro-UX.

The biggest conversion wins come from what the page says, then how it says it. UX cannot save a weak message. We rewrite the offer, the guarantee, and the hero before we touch a layout.

Statistical discipline over gut calls.

Tests run to real sample sizes with 95% significance thresholds. We will not ship a winner off 200 clicks and a p-value of 0.18. Losers get documented and filed so the next test starts smarter.

Most brands chase traffic when they should be fixing conversion.

Doubling traffic from 10,000 to 20,000 monthly visitors costs real money. Doubling conversion from 2% to 4% produces the same pipeline for a fraction of the spend. CRO is the cheapest channel you have, and it compounds. Every improvement to the funnel multiplies every dollar that already comes through the door, whether it arrives from paid, SEO, social, or a referral.

Our CRO program starts with a forensic pass. Session recordings, heatmaps, scroll depth, form analytics, exit-intent, and a pull of win and loss interviews from the sales team. We find the friction, rank the leaks by expected impact, and open test designs with real hypotheses attached. Then we ship the tests to statistical significance, promote the winners, and file the losers so the next test starts from a smarter place.

Three principles

What separates tests that ship from tests that die.

01

Data before opinion.

Every CRO hypothesis on the backlog comes from observed behavior in the funnel. Session replays of abandoned carts and bounced landing pages. Heatmaps of where attention actually lands. Form analytics that show the field nobody finishes. Scroll depth overlays that prove the fold nobody gets past. Plus a pull of recent sales call transcripts, because the language prospects use is rarely the language on the page.

  • Session recordings segmented by traffic source and device
  • Heatmaps, scroll depth, and rage-click overlays
  • Form analytics, exit-intent, win/loss interview tagging
Before
  • Hypotheses pulled from blog posts and gut feel
  • Button color and copy-nudge tests on repeat
  • No session recordings, no heatmaps, no form analytics
  • Win and loss call data never touches the page
  • Winners and losers both get forgotten
After forensics
  • Every hypothesis tied to a recording, heatmap, or quote
  • Tests ranked by expected impact and reach
  • Qualitative stack running continuously in the background
  • Sales call language pulled into hero and offer copy
  • Hypothesis library grows with every shipped test
Illustrative. Forensic data is what separates a CRO program from a button-color exercise.

What the page says beats how it looks. UX cannot save a weak message.
02

Messaging first, UX second.

The biggest conversion lifts usually come from what the page says and what the offer is. Redesigning the layout around a prettier hero image is a distant second. Offer framing, guarantee language, hero clarity, and trust signals almost always out-move micro-UX tweaks. We write the message first, let the UX serve it, and only then look at button color, form field ordering, or hover states.

  • Hero, sub-hero, and CTA rewrites pulled from real customer language
  • Offer and guarantee framing before layout changes
  • Trust signals placed where attention already lands
03

Statistical discipline.

Every test gets a documented hypothesis, a target sample size, and a 95% significance threshold before it goes live. We do not declare a winner on 200 clicks and a p-value of 0.18. We do not stop a test early because the numbers look exciting on day three. Winners ship to the control. Losers get documented with why and filed in the hypothesis library so the next round of tests starts smarter.

  • Every test opened with a written hypothesis and expected lift
  • Sample size math run up front, before the test goes live
  • 95% significance threshold, one primary metric per test

Back of the envelope

Rough math on what CRO is worth to you.

Three inputs, three numbers. Useful for framing how a modest conversion lift compares to buying more traffic. Directional only, and qualitative. Your real lift depends on where you start, how weak the current messaging is, and how fast the testing cadence ships.

/ mo
Traffic to landing pages, product pages, or the core funnel you want to lift. Not raw site-wide sessions unless every session actually converts.
%
Visitors to the tested pages who convert today. Most home-service landing pages sit between 2% and 5%. Most ecommerce PDPs sit between 1.5% and 3.5%.
%
The lift you would plug in is up to you. Directional framing only. The real number depends on where the funnel starts and how much messaging work the pages need.
Directional only
Customers today
~880 / mo
Customers after CRO
~1,144 / mo
Incremental customers
~264 / mo

Incremental customers is the monthly delta a CRO program would produce at the same traffic level. It is not a revenue promise. What those customers are worth depends on your AOV, your close rate, and your retention, which is the real conversation to have on a call.

What you get

Six deliverables inside every CRO engagement.

Every CRO engagement ships with these six as the baseline. Additional scope layers on top depending on how many landing pages are in the program, test velocity, and how much new creative the messaging work needs.

A/B test results and conversion lift data visualization
Every deliverable scoped before kickoff. Nothing billed that was not named.
01

Funnel forensics audit

Two weeks of forensic discovery across session recordings, heatmaps, scroll depth, form analytics, and exit-intent. Deliverable is a ranked backlog of conversion leaks with estimated impact per fix.

02

Messaging + offer review

Hero copy, sub-hero, offer framing, CTA language, and trust signals audited against sales call transcripts and win/loss data. Rewrites that sell the appointment or the order, ready to test against the current control.

03

A/B testing program

Prioritized test backlog, hypothesis documentation, sample size math, and a shipping process for winners. Every test runs to 95% significance before a winner is called.

04

Landing page rebuilds

Net-new landing pages for your highest-spend paid campaigns. Designed mobile-first, tuned against the forensic findings, launched with a control variant ready to test from day one.

05

Testing operations

Ongoing testing cadence, hypothesis pipeline, significance monitoring, and a rolling test calendar so the program keeps shipping wins month over month.

06

CRO dashboards + reporting

A live view of every running test, historical win rate, lift by test type, and patterns promoted into template-level defaults. Your team sees what moved the needle and what did not.

Process

How the first 90 days of a CRO program go.

Phase 01 Week 1-2

Forensics

Two-week audit using Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, and GA4 path analysis. Deliverable is a ranked backlog of conversion leaks.

Phase 02 Week 3

Hypothesis engine

Each leak becomes a hypothesis. Each hypothesis gets a test design: what we are changing, what we expect, what sample size we need.

Phase 03 Week 4-6

Test + ship

Tests run sequentially to avoid confounding. Winners ship. Losers document the learning for the next test.

What good looks like

A funnel that stops leaking money.

Specific lift numbers depend on where the funnel starts and how much messaging work the pages need. What we commit to is the method and the transparency. Here is what clients feel, quarter over quarter, when the program is working.

Frequently asked

Questions we get asked every week.

  • Do I need enough traffic for A/B testing to work?

Yes and no. You need enough traffic to reach statistical significance on the primary conversion metric, which typically means 1,500+ conversions per month on the tested pages. Sites below that threshold still benefit from CRO, but through qualitative methods (user testing, session recordings, messaging audits) rather than A/B tests.

  • What testing tool do you recommend?

We use VWO or Convert.com for most brands. Optimizely for larger clients. Google Optimize is dead. We stay tool-agnostic and configure inside whatever stack works for your team.

  • How long does it take to see results?

The forensics phase produces immediate insights you can often ship without a test. First testable wins typically arrive in month 2 or 3. Sustained compounding lift from month 4 onward.

  • Is CRO a separate engagement or bundled with paid?

Both models work. When we run your paid program, CRO is usually bundled because the feedback loop is tighter. Standalone CRO engagements are common for brands whose paid is already managed elsewhere.

We were about to raise the ad budget again. They told us to wait and stood up a forensic audit first. Session recordings, heatmaps, a messaging review. We shipped three landing page tests before a single dollar more went into paid. Conversion moved enough that the budget increase paid for itself before it happened.

Our old agency kept telling us to test button colors. These folks tore the hero copy apart, rewrote the offer framing, fixed a broken checkout step we had not noticed, and ran everything to real significance. The uplift compounded over the quarter in a way button color tests never do.

Our form was leaking half the visitors at the address field. Nobody had looked at form analytics in two years. They rebuilt it in two weeks, tested the new version against the old, and shipped the winner. The lead volume we were buying finally started converting at the rate we were paying for.

They treat CRO like an engineering discipline. Ninety-five percent confidence, documented hypotheses, losers retired cleanly. Our team learned how to run a real testing program watching them work. The next hire we made was a full-time conversion analyst because of what they showed us.
